The validators, matching engine, gateway and this interface are complex software and may contain defects even after review. Defects could delay, block or — in the worst case — lose funds locked in orders. The software is provided as-is, without warranty.
Settlement happens inside a Hydra Head operated by the venue. If the Head must close, open orders stop matching and funds return to Cardano layer 1 through the protocol’s contestation and fanout process, which takes time and requires layer-1 fees. Confirmed snapshots — not HTTP responses — are the only settlement finality.
BoltsDEX never holds your keys and cannot reverse a signed transaction, recover a lost wallet or restore a compromised one. An API identity key is not a custody key, but you should revoke it if its device is compromised because it can expose owner-scoped account information and consume that wallet's API allowance. It still cannot create a Cardano witness. Verify every transaction in your wallet before signing.
Orderbook prices are set entirely by user orders. Thin books can produce large spreads and price gaps. A resting order has no expiry and remains fillable at its limit price until you cancel it.
Token amounts are exact confirmed Hydra quantities. ADA, USD and EUR values are informational estimates from confirmed BoltsDEX VWAP routes; EUR also uses the ECB reference rate. They can be stale, partial or unavailable in a thin market and are not an execution quote, oracle, settlement value or promise that an asset can be sold at that price. BoltsDEX does not use Kraken or Binance prices in the dApp.
VWAP is a volume-weighted average price: trades with more volume have more influence than small trades. BoltsDEX uses only recent confirmed trades on configured internal market routes. It is a more representative display estimate than the last tiny trade, but it is still not the price guaranteed for a new order.
Fast Trading uses a separate browser-held delegate key for only the amount assigned to its pair-specific V2 state. Losing its encrypted backup or passphrase prevents fast order management, but the Main Wallet can still recover the complete remaining state. Side, price, size, DCA and other economic rules are deliberately off-chain. Malware, a stolen key or replaced website code can therefore abuse an unlocked key to trade the complete Fast Balance at unfavorable prices—including a deliberate self-deal against another wallet—until expiry or recovery. That can lose all economic value of the allocation. Review the detailed Fast Trading risks before opting in.
