How BoltsDEX works.
Is BoltsDEX an AMM?
No — BoltsDEX is a central limit orderbook. You place bids and asks at explicit prices instead of swapping against a liquidity-pool curve.
Who controls my funds?
Your Cardano wallet does. The gateway prepares valid transactions, while deposits, orders and cancellations remain wallet-authorized.
How do I deposit to Hydra L2?
Deposit selected Cardano L1 outputs into the Hydra Head. Approve the prepared transaction in your wallet, then wait for confirmed Head state before the deposit becomes available to trade.
Can bots and market makers trade without the website?
Yes. Direct clients use the same versioned REST and WebSocket contract as the web app, with their own request identity and wallet-authorized order flow.
What trading fees apply?
The current validator does not debit makers. Takers pay the rate disclosed before wallet signing. Supported deployments apply authenticated $BOLTS and 30-day volume tiers directly; otherwise the confirmed base rate is the safe fallback.
What is $BOLTS designed for?
$BOLTS is the fee-tier and protocol-reward asset. Liquid non-custodial Staking participation is live on Preprod. Trading-fee discounts are direct. Staking rewards are paid only on Hydra L2, subject to funding, audit and deployment qualification.
